What is Required to Get Started?
• A team made up of a supervising adult coach and one to five student members.
• A compatible device, such as iPad or other tablet.
• A 5′ x 8′ mat of 30cm squares and basic prototyping materials.
• Teams in the 6-8 & 9-11 age brackets will need a Dash robot. Available from Sunburst Digital.
• Teams in the 12-14 age bracket will need a Cue robot.
• Internet access to download and upload materials.
Meet The Robots
DASH & DOT
Designed for elementary students, Dash is a clever little robot with multiple sensors and a quirky personality. Using its accelerometer and IR sensors, Dash can respond to its environment, and can even turn into a controller for Dot! Students will learn about robotics and develop fundamental coding and problem-solving skills while having fun.
